Built in a Wild West set, Stage Nine is designed to look like a sound stage from Hollywood. With Director Max Von Carl seated near the catwalk in the center of the Set, and props littering the Backstage, Stage Nine takes on the appearance of a real movie set. Inside the Backstage is the wardrobe department, which features apparel from movies, TV, and pop culture. Also incorporated into Stage Nine’s layout is the Gallery, which specializes in pop culture and animation art, autographs, and an extensive selection of both black & white and color photographs depicting classic and modern Hollywood stars. In 2005, Stage Nine built and managed an exhibit with the California State Fair, featuring the classic Star Wars films. The following year, Stage Nine’s exhibit Hall of Heroes was moved to an 8,000 sq. ft. exhibit building. In 2007, Stage Nine’s Toytopia exhibit, located in the same building, once again was the most popular exhibit at the California State Fair. Located along the historic waterfront in Old Sacramento at the corner of Front and K Street, stop by and browse one of Northern California’s largest collections of entertainment merchandise. In The Gallery at Stage Nine, we feature rare and unique artwork directly from major motion picture studios and prop houses, and represent all major fine art outlets and specialty catalogs. The Gallery at Stage Nine also specializes in animation art.
G. Willikers Toy Emporium is a 3,100 sq. ft. toy store located in historic Old Sacramento offering unique merchandise and quality character toys. Featuring an extensive line of LGB trains, Carrera Slot Cars, Thomas the Tank, Department 56, nostalgic wind-up toys, tin toys, and much, much more. Our philosophy is to sell unique, high-quality toys we love from manufacturers we believe in.
G. Willikers is more than a typical train and toy store. At G. Willikers, imagination drives the experience. G. Willikers is reminiscent of an old company store with surprises around every corner. Our large-scale displays evoke the magic of a child’s imagination. At G. Willikers, everything on display is meant to be examined and played with. Look around, check out all of our displays and play with the toys. You’ll see why this toy store embodies the very meaning of “Gee Willikers!” an expression of amazement and wonder.
