Chicken of the Sea Pirate Ship and Restaurant Dining Table

$10,200.00
SKU: 144782

The Chicken of the Sea Pirate Ship and Restaurant was a unique Peter Pan-themed restaurant that opened at Disneyland park on August 29, 1955. The Chicken of the Sea Pirate Ship and Restaurant was a Fantasyland icon that once stood where Dumbo the Flying Elephant is today.  This original table was used inside the restaurant and has been expertly restored.

(Disneyland, c.1955-82) An iconic piece from one of the key original Disneyland landmarks, this is a vintage park-used barrel table from the Chicken of the Sea Pirate Ship and Restaurant in Disneyland's Fantasyland. Based on Captain Hook's galleon, the Jolly Roger, the Pirate Ship restaurant was moored in a lagoon next to Skull Rock Cove. Eventually demolished in 1982 as part of the New Fantasyland refurbishment, the eatery was sponsored by Chicken of the Sea from opening day in 1955 until 1969.

This restaurant dining table is composed of a 2.5" thick formica tabletop with rounded corners and a rubberized bumper around the perimeter. The slab is perched atop a pair of coopered barrels constructed of wooden staves and metal hoops, which are equipped with additional metal L-brackets at the bottom for mounting to the floor. Measuring 28.5"x60" and 32" deep, the table is in good condition.
